The girl behind the MacBook

As a writer and a copy editor, I am no stranger to the world of words. But lately I have had a hard time finding my voice.

Between college and freelancing, I have written about what irritates me, what people are unaware of and why sports are amazing. I have had multiple cheerleaders tell me I should take up blogging to keep my fingers quick and my foot in the writing world. But I couldn't get passed the idea that I needed this grand niche to keep a blog.

Man, was I over thinking things. I know -- shocking.

After listening to a few of those cheerleaders, and checking out some other bloggers, I realized I could keep doing what I was doing before -- writing about the sports I love, the things that make my skin crawl and the aspects of life that catch me off guard. This blog won't be the greatest source for all things baseball, an up-to-date political machine, tips on how to survive life in a small town or a source for a budding writer to showcase her short stories. It will be all of those things.

And it will be one hundred percent, original me.
